Senior ASB members gather during the Senior Sunset on August 15.
Every year on the last day of summer, the seniors get together at school in the morning and watch the sunrise. This has become an annual event. This year ASB had a table with different breakfast foods, a photo area and space to hang out together. Seniors brought blankets, towels, chairs and sat around and hung out with friends while watching the sunrise. “It was cold. I liked the lucky charms. It was a really good way to end the summer, commented Senior London DeLaRosa, she continued, “Great way to the start of senior year.” Senior sunrise is the first of many senior events to celebrate the final year of high school. Senior Lulia Haile expessed, “Senior sunrise was a blast, but I believe it would’ve been more awesome at a different spot, like the beach. Aside from that, I had an amazing time with my friends. We had a lot of fun taking pictures. We even made a new friend who’s new to the school. She’s really nice, and we’re happy to have met her.” More events continue throughout the year, including Senior Night for all sports, Senior Luau, Senior Picnic, Senior Sunset, Graduation and more.
