It was the twelfth annual “Artastic” event for the City of Norwalk. It began as a competition through the Norwalk-La Mirada Unified School District and has grown over the years. Students from all of the schools in Norwalk and La Mirada now compete every year in multiple categories. This year it was held at the Norwalk Cultural arts Center with music, foot trucks, chalk art, art vendors and arts and crafts for all ages. This year, La Mirada High School 11th grader Celina Abad took home the Grand Prize of $150 for her drawing “Doberman.” Other winners from La Mirada High School include Logan Vasquez in Photography for “Day Out.” View all winners here.
