On Tuesday, September 24th La Mirada high school had their first blood drive of the year. The event had over 80 students sign up and show up, including walk-ins to donate their blood. “The event went well, the Red Cross knew what they were doing and it went smoothly,” stated Junior Ruby Chastine, who led the ASB Blood Drive Committee. Chastine continued to explain, “Donating blood is a life-saving tool, if one person donates it can save up to 3 lives and there are many other benefits”.
There will be more blood drive events throughout the year, keep an eye out for the new updates as you can save 3 lives with donating blood.
