La Mirada Cheer is also competing with their first ever Game Day team.
Head Cheer Varsity Coach Bree explained, “Game day is a competition at traditional competition instead of stunting, dancing to music and doing pyramids; you get to do what you do at a football game,” and added “I started it because it looked fun, it’s up and coming, a lot of schools are doing it now, and we ordered game day uniforms and thought we should put them to use.”
Coach Bree also commented “I think we will do really well, we didn’t decide to do this until Christmas break, and once we decided we went all in, they learned their whole routine and been working really hard, I think they will do well.”
