La Mirada High School proudly recognizes Abby Diaz as January’s Athlete of the Month.
A four-year varsity wrestler at 155 lbs, Abby is a League Champion, 5th place CIF finisher, and Masters Qualifier. One of her most memorable moments came at Masters at Sonora, where she battled through the bracket to earn a top-four finish and advance.
Ranked among the top wrestlers in the state in the preseason girls rankings by CalGrappler, Abby continues to compete at a high level while valuing what matters most—the bond with her teammates.
She looks up to Amit Elor for her relentless drive and passion for the sport—qualities Abby brings to the mat every day.
