Mrs. Lazalde is a well-loved ASB Advisor and Dance Coach at LMHS. Originally she began her teaching career many years ago as a La Mirada alumni Math teacher, and then found her way to the creative aspect of teaching. Working with children is her most loved aspect of teaching and enjoys watching her kids grow as individuals. A success story she is proud of are all of the school wide events ASB puts together because it brings light to campus and gives students a chance to bond. She believes those events are why she is so recognized and has gotten Teacher of the Year three times! Some characteristics she finds essential to being an educator are patience, communication, and passion. Outside of school Lazalde loves to spend quality time with friends and family and attend concerts, live music is her favorite! Some surprising facts she thinks not many people know about her are that she is La Mirada born and raised and attended LMHS, she taught math for many years, and she is left handed. Overall Mrs. Lazalde is loved and holds a very special place in our hearts here at La Mirada and we appreciate all that she has done for our staff and students!
